Please note we have a few changes to the rules for 2010!!
- Teams will consist of 4 members (male or female)
- Team members cannot be on more than one team.
- No substitution of team members once the rodeo has started
- Team members MUST wear matching team shirts. Stitching is optional.
- Team members MUST wear leggings. (Chaps, chinks, etc)
- NO tie-downs (martingales, etc.) will be allowed.
- All ropes must be at least 3/8 diameter.
- Contestants will NOT be able to tie-hard.
- Entries are first come-first served and taken only once the entry books are open.
- Rodeos are limited to the first 12 PAID teams. At the time of entries, teams are given a fee due date...if fee's are not received by the mandatory date, the team is bumped and a wait-list team is moved up.
- Teams will receive only 1 reminder phone call from the secretary regarding missing fee's.
- When calling to enter, caller must have team name, names of team members, and contact number for the team. This is the number I will call in case I need to reach you.
- Team names MUST remain the same for team points to carry through the season. We understand that "life" happens so team members may vary for each rodeo but any points earned will stay with the team name.
- Team names must be an actual ranch/employee/business/brand name.
- There are no monetary stipulations required to enter. Meaning.....you do not have to earn a specific amount of money for an ranch/feedlot/employer in order to qualify to compete!
- Event rules will be read before each rodeo. If you are not present when we start, we will not wait for you!! Each team member is encouraged to attend the rules meeting.
- Be at the gate and ready to enter the arena quickly when your team is up. You will be called 3 times and then flagged out for that event.
- Cattle must be handled in an acceptable manner or a no time will be given.
- No loud, obnoxious, or profane language or unsportsmanlike conduct will be tolerated at the rodeos. You will be warned and then flagged out.
- Judges decisions are FINAL!

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the series work?
Teams earn points for event placings at each rodeo. These points add up through the series to qualify the team for the finals and ultimately name the Cowhand's & Corriente's Ranch Rodeo Series Champion Team!
How are the rodeos paid?
Rodeos are figured on the fastest total times in all 4 events and pays three holes in the average. If no teams have a time in all 4 events, it goes to the fastest in 3 events and so on. Time limits are NOT given....teams must complete the required tasks in the amount of time given or will receive a No-Time.
What if only 3 team members have matching shirts?
Complete dress code is enforced at each rodeo (matching shirts, leggings). Teams will forfeit any points earned if not in the proper attire.
How do I enter the rodeos?
Rodeo entry times for each rodeo are listed on the Schedule page along with additional information for each rodeo. Each rodeo has a specific date and time that entries will open and entries will NOT be accepted until the books open. Any team member may call to enter the team and entries are first come-first served. Entries are taken in the order they are received and no preference is given to any team for any reason. Teams may only enter themselves and entry is confirmed only by the rodeo secretary. Messages are not accepted....you MUST speak to the secretary to receive confirmation of entry.
